Join us for an evening celebrating the music of Brazil with internationally acclaimed guitarist and vocalist Mario Bakuna.

Drawing on the rich traditions of bossa nova, samba, and Brazilian jazz, Mario and his band perform timeless classics with warmth, elegance, and an unmistakable Brazilian swing. Combining expressive vocals, refined guitar playing, and rich harmonic textures, the trio brings a fresh perspective to the music of composers including Tom Jobim, Dorival Caymmi, João Donato, and other great masters of Brazilian music.

About Mario Bakuna

Mario Bakuna is a Brazilian composer, arranger, vocalist, and guitarist based in London. With over 25 years of musical experience, he is known for his deep exploration of Brazilian rhythms, samba, jazz, and bossa nova, bringing together the spirit of Brazilian music with the colours of contemporary jazz.

Since moving to Europe, Mario has become an established presence on the UK's Brazilian jazz scene, performing throughout Europe and internationally at jazz clubs and festivals. His albums Where Rio deJaneiro Meets Bahia and Brazilian Landscapes reflect his commitment to celebrating Brazil's musical heritage through both original compositions and new arrangements of classic repertoire.
